The grand book of the universe… was written in the language of mathematics,
and its characters are triangles, circles, and other geometrical figures, without which
it is impossible to understand a single word of it.

Sacred Geometry is a series of symbols or geometric shapes – a mathematical code – seen as the blueprint and key to understanding the way the universe is designed. Geometric archetypes or patterns are the building blocks of any creation and relate to the concepts of Oneness, the Absolute or God.

Sacred geometry has been used in every culture in history, often evident in the design and construction of religious structures such as temples, churches, alters, or in sacred spaces where the earth’s lay lines meet, like Stonehenge or holy wells.

Everything in the Universe and all it contains – planets, beings, humans, animals, plants, and rocks – is made up of its own unique code.

I have always found these ideas and shapes fascinating, often seeing these shapes when I close my eyes. I find the rhythm of them comforting as they bring to the surface deep emotions. Lately I have been trying to capture these symbols and shapes to share through my art in the hope of bringing an understanding to others of this code, and all it represents. My next exhibition will have a number of these works on show.
